We liked the really friendly and helpful staff, the quiet location near to the castle & the park, the great family room in the tower and the proximity to Munich city centre.
This hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood setting but close enough to trams, castle. The host, Sebastian, is absolutely wonderful in assisting with site seeing plans, how to get to various locations--could not be more accommodating.
Excellent staff, always very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay and visit to Munich very enjoyable. Breakfast had a good selection of different choices. Well located to downtown with a 15 minute tram ride. Right next door to the Nymphenburg Palace. The grounds are ideal for avid joggers.
Room was somewhat small. Breakfast was extra, should have been included in room rate for the price paid.
Extremely hospitable staff and environment. Very friendly. English speaking. Guided us well in touring the city. Wonderful location to stay at in the city. Easily accessible to main parts of the town. Clean rooms.
We booked two rooms of the same cost but got one genuine double room and another single-converted to double room, which we thought is unfair when the booking is for two double rooms, and we are paying the same cost for both the rooms. In general rooms are small.
The staff at Laimer Hof went above & beyond our expectations- they were helpful in every way. The location was very close to the Nymphenburg Palace & Hirschgarten Beer Garden. We were made to feel at home here, I highly recommend staying.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and the rate was very reasonable
I totally loved the hotel's position - the neighbourhood is a residential are of Munich, a very peaceful, quiet and relaxing one. There are 2 parks very close nearby, lots of people walking or going for a bicycle ride in the are in the afternoons. The Nympherburg Schloss is beautiful and it is at a 2 minute walk distance from the hotel. There are beer gardens and restaurants very close and they are not tourist places which is great. The rooms are nice, clean and confortable, the breakfast was great and the hotel staff was very friendly and very very nice. Mostly German tourists and Italians come to stay at this hotel.
The room was a bit small, however confortabile. The bathroom was pretty big though and this was OK. But the room is not very confortable if you have a lot of luggage.
The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area of Munich, very close to the large grounds of the Nymphenburg Palace. The staff were friendly and provided maps and travel information. They also recommended restaurants (we tried one of them and enjoyed it so we too would recommend Le Brasserie). It was very hot weather, but the room did have a fan and an openable window which were appreciated.
The bed was nice but our room too small - would be best for the single traveller or people without much luggage, as I could barely squeeze past the foot of the bed without damaging myself on my case. The bathroom was also poky, but sufficed. It was good to get free internet but having to enter new usernames and passwords on a one or two hourly basis was a bit annoying. While we were there, there was only one person in the kitchen at breakfast and she couldn't cope with the volume of guests, so both days we had to sit among other people's leftovers for about ten minutes before we were offered coffee and clean crockery. Be warned that public transport in Munich is not cheap - it would cost you 6 euros for a return trip into the centre, or 8 euros for a day pass.
The location in a residential area made me feel I got to know the real Munich more than if I had stayed right in the centre. It is still well connected though. Also, they gave us free welcome beer. What's not to love? Staff were knowledgable and eager to help.
The room was quite small - but it had everything we needed and that one criticism is not enough to counteract the many good points.
The staff were very friendly and gratious in every way. Very helpful with planning how to use time in Muncih and gave excellent directions to restaurants and attractions. Great location - lots of good restaurants and a huge beer garden within easy walking distance. Nymphenburg Palace is a 5 minute walk. Tram and trolly station close by and hotel has tickets for this as well as many sight seeing tours. Hotel in a very quiet, safe neighborhood. Property is well maintained and breakfast has excellent variety. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends -- a great value.
The host and staff were excellent, informative, friendly and helpful
The owners were very helpful in helping us plan our trip around Munich. Sebastian and Aleandra went out of their way to make sure all guests have outstanding service. This is the item that makes this Laimer Hof stand out. As a member of Hilton and Marriott programs, I can assure you that this does not happen all the time at "chain hotels". The rooms were excellent and very clean (Americans love huge rooms-so remember you are in Europe and very unique hotel so the rooms are comfortable but smaller than most Americans are used to-if you want a bigger room-pay the extra costs and get a room for 3 people). With that said, I would still choose this hotel over many of the the other choices in Munich -and I had stayed in many of them in the City Center area. Having the breakfast option was nice and had a good local food selection. The hotel is an excellent option and it is easy to get around by using trams 16 and 17 (get off Romanoff Platz) and the S1 Bahn system. You can use this hotel as an excellent starting point to trips to Munich center. It is more quiet than some of the hotels located at city center. The reservation process was very efficient. This is our second stay at this hotel and it only gets better. For those of you that are disabled, make sure you note this in your reservation so that you get a room without stairs.
Nothing-all was excellent
Staff very friendly and answered any questions about the area or travel.
Great hotel in a great place 15 mins from town by tram 5mins walk from Nymphenburg Palace
Clean, helpful staff, great breakfast, great location and beautiful building.
Great and professional staff always give valuable traveling advices. Comfortable beds. Good location for shopping and visting Nymphenburg.
