Rating by category:
very standard, not bad but nothing special.
They have not prepared extra-bed even I have requested on the order sheet before. “Not available” was only staff’s comments and I have got in same bed with my big son. So tight!!
Staff was very kind and helpful, indoor swimming pool is great after long trip as well as Sauna (charged extra), hotel is situated next to the river, so insects expected during summer period, hotel restaurant was quite good, breakfast great.
Room safe / deposit box is missing
Nice room overlooking the Neckar River. Friendly and helpful staff, able to provide advice on sightseeing and restaurants in the area. Best breakfast compared to the 6 other hotels we stayed in on our trip around Germany.
Not within easy walking distance of the Old Town area. Extra fees for 3rd person (older son) were excessive.
This was value for money. Staff were excellent. Reception at check-in was slowish due to an unpleasant and demanding guest but they compensated appropriately for a problem that were not their fault. We ended up with a very nice, quiet and comfortable room with a river view. Not modern but furnished in a style from a more comfortable era. The breakfast buffet was good.
The location has some advantages but the hotel is quite a way from the old town. The tram/bus service is reasonably closeby and efficient. The secure on-site parking was expensive. Paying for WiFi in a 4 star hotel is unexpected these days. Similarly, tea and coffee making facilities in such rooms should be standard.
Some of the staff were so nice and friendly..
The choices of the food of room service were so limited, and the answering of the phone was slow.
We liked our room very much. It was large and beautifully designed.
The room was next to the elevators and we heard them a lot. The food in the Pinci Bar was not good (the Schnitzel tasted like fish. When I complained I got another dish which was fine).
We booked a 3 nights for 2 deal through Booked.net and expected to be placed in one of the less popular rooms. In fact we had a lovely room over looking the river, breakfast was excellent and the staff were great.
No complaints at all about the hotel or staff.
Room was very clean and tidy. Bed really confortable. Air conditioning working fine, very useful with the heat of summer. Reception staff was really polite and helpful. Breakfast food was very good quality.
There was only one thing I didn't like: staff working in the breakfast room was not helpful and difficult to talk to in english. We had outside guests, who came to have breakfast with us. We announced them and obviously added that they would pay extra. The waitress didn't seem to be happy. We had to ask more than once to get a table big enough for 8 people. In the end we got only for 6 and we were told that we could squeeze!!!! They didn't bring enough cups. I had to go and search for them personally. Really not good! I gave good for staff score, however this is the result of excellent for reception and very bad for restaurant staff.
The service for the executive room guests was excellent.
Nice view on the river and good bed
room small and bathroom very small , old hotel with good name
We had booked a double room with a view of the river Neckar, which the hotel is situated on and I would recommend this type of room. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The hotel has a very nice terrace at the back, next to the river, a great place to sit and have a drink or a meal.
There are 2 things we didn't like about the hotel; the hotel is described as being a short walk away from the Old Town. It actually takes about 20-25 minutes, so this description is a little misleading. However, there are trams and buses which go into the Old Town and stops for both of these are located near the hotel. The buffet breakfast was very poor on both mornings we stayed there.
The location is good on the river wonderful view but you have to take the tram to the shopping center its three stops away.
The breakfast was not in the price its very expensive not worth it internet and parking very costy should be free.
The staff were very good and the hotel was very comfortable.
wonderful location overlooking Heidelberg and the river
nice staff, location,so clean,
the maintenance is going on for the hotel when i was there, really too noise and drilling started around 8 AM, we escaped from city noise to get little rest, but unfortunately, i do not found it due to hotel maintenance, moreover you can not enjoy the view from the window as scaffolding is erected .
